California

California does not have a single, uniform state regulation for commercial float tanks (flotation therapy), but they are regulated locally by county health departments, often under rules similar to public spas or swimming pools. Most California health departments apply standards derived from California Code of Regulations, Title 24, Chapter 31B, which governs public pools and spas.
