New Mexico
In New Mexico, float tanks are typically regulated by the New Mexico Environment Department under public swimming pool and spa codes. While the state does not have a dedicated, standalone statute exclusively for floatation therapy, operators must comply with local health and sanitation codes adapted from the MAHC, such as the New Mexico Swimming Pool Rules (7.18.2 NMAC).
